HELLO trust Toronto, founded on September 1, 2024, is an official branch of the global HELLO Trust organization. Base on our neighborhood interviews and surveys, we have identified significant concerns regarding Toronto's severe food source insecure and unbearable overprice. Research indicates that one in ten residents in Toronto now rely on food banks, many individuals only left with about $6.67 per day for food after necessary expenses. In response to this pressing issue, HELLO trust Toronto has been created with a commitment to address food insecure problem by launching public welfare canteen that serve nutritious meals to citizens in need. The vision of Toronto branch is to foster a sense of collectiveness, trust and belonging among community, in alignment with the global vision of HELLO trust. Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity in downtown Toronto area through a sustainable food service model that prioritizes inclusivity, community, and dignity. Project will commence with collaborations with local food bank and restaurant in providing food resource, with the intention of developing long-term partnership and establishing local physical canteen.
Together, we can make a difference! We sincerely invite all friends with the same aspirations to join us, make Toronto a place where everyone feels supported, connected, and nourished. Together, we can make a difference. Donations, online and offline volunteers are greatly appreciated.
